Thursday - 15km
Almost a carbon copy of yesterday, so very happy once again. Back to the North Head loop this morning, the goal was to simply run at a comfortablely firm pace, steering well clear of the red line. I achieved that, and felt pretty strong the entire run. My mantra of ‘relax’ and ‘not too hard’ paying off along the way. Got home in a very respectable 54:44 (3:38’s), so less than a minute off my all time best for that loop, except that it was much much easier in the process. It’s great to reflect back to just a few weeks ago when I was pushing hard to get under 55. Now I can do it easily, which is a great sign! A beautiful morning out there, although there was some humidity creeping back in.
