Wednesday cross-training - 60 minutes steady rowing + 30 minutes steady stationary cycle
This was a mental battle from the start. 60 minutes continuous on the Concept 2 rower is psychological torture. Bumped into Burkey just before I started (another injured Manly runner), which made me feel a little less reclusive. Anyway, dragged through the hour getting 14.1km, averaging 2:07.4/500m pace. Then on the bike for 30 minutes, 13.9km. Couldn't fathom 90 minutes on the rower, hence the latter. Looks highly unlikely that I will be racing North Head on Saturday. Oh well, plenty of other races to look forward to (besides, not sure it is going to have a strong showing at the front end)!
