Easy 75 minutes + hill strides
An early start after a late night (unusual for me during the week), but was actually fine when the alarm went off at 520am. A big day at uni meant I had to get some kilometers done before meeting with the others at 6am. First kilometer was too quick at 4:26, so really embraced the recovery by backing off. Got a quick lap from Pittwater Rd to Shelly and return before meeting up with Macca and Erika. It's the first I had seen of Erika since her phenomenal race at 6FT, so was very interested to hear all about it. Macca was still struggling with calf and plantar fascia tightness after his massive tempo run on the weekend. It was just great running with others again after two days solo. 75 minutes got me 16.3km at 4:36's. The heart rate barely nudged over 120 the whole time. Finished off with some hill strides and a loaf of 100% pure rye bread from the Brezel Bar.
