Easy Monday (15km) with hill strides
Out for a solo run this morning. Was initially thinking of running three laps of the beachfront, but it was a shitfight even at 6am with the deconstruction of the infrastructure from the Australian Open of Surfing. So decided to run a loop around North Head. Got to the Fairfax Loop and ran one-and-a-half laps clockwise before ticking over at 7.5km. Turned on the spot and did another one-and-a-half laps anticlockwise before setting off home on the downhill return. Nice and comfortable, only looking at my watch to measure the distance and to report into here what the average pace was - 4:33's at 126 beats on the heart rate monitor. Got on the bike, rode down to Raglan St for some hill strides before heading across to the Brezel Bar for a loaf of pure rye bread (the best there is - 100% rye)! Another amazing day out there, will be touch and go whether I can jump into the ocean!
