Saturday - 6 x 800m hills (jog recovery)

As if the heat wasn’t enough to contend with this morning, the watch was reading the 800 m mark further up each hill rep than usual. As I said a few weeks ago, I’ll just consider it extra training. Nevertheless, I actually felt good for a Saturday. Knowing that the times were going to be slow today probably relaxed me somewhat. The reps were 3:22, 3:30, 3:34, 3:34, 3:34, and 3:36 - finishing in 39:08. I’m actually quite happy with that, in what were really brutal conditions. A nice and easy cool-down for just under 18 km all up.
