Sunday - Two hours
Last long run for a few weeks. Met Darren, Scotty, Justin and Ben at Manly Pool at 6:15am. Just caught the start of a storm, with thunder and lightning giving way to a downpour. It actually continued raining the entire run, albeit much more lightly. Toby joined in as usual at the Dee Why hill. In fact, I actually started to get hungry at this point - not a great sign this early into the run. Felt sore and sluggish most of the run, which was to be totally expected. Nevertheless, this didn't stop Scotty pushing the pace for the final 5km. It wasn't until the final 3 minutes that I really decided to put the hammer down, getting down to 3:20 pace right at the very end. All up, 27.63km at 4:21 pace. Looking forward to a much needed recovery/taper week. That was actually my biggest week on record - 156km!
